I'm excited to say that this is my 4th year teaching here at Schultz Junior High. I work hard to make sure that anything I do whether teaching, planning, or playing is done to the highest standard. As an educator, I believe that the most important thing I do is teach individual students about how to be successful in life. For myself, music is the most effective medium for me to instill those life lessons. I do my best to be a positive influence & mentor to the students I teach. I truly enjoy my students and can't wait to get to know each of them and their stories this year!

For myself,  I fell in love with music and performance while in high school and knew that teaching was the career choi
ce for me. I pursued that passion in a music education degree from Sam Houston State University. I graduated from SHSU suma cum laude with a Bachelor in Music in 2013. While in college, I was a member of the Sam Houston Wind Ensemble for 3 semesters, Symphonic Band for 4 semesters and a section leader for the Bearkat Marching Band. I am a very proud Bearkat

Here at Schultz, I teach the Beginner Trumpet, Horn, Tuba, Euphonium and Trombone Classes. I also conduct the Symphonic and Concert Bands and assist with Wind Ensemble.   For more information about the Schultz Band program please visit our website by clicking the Band link on the left scroll list.

I have been happily married to my husband, Tony Hensdill, for two years now and love sharing my life with him. We live by the motto that 'adventure is out there!' and love hiking, camping, skiing, and anything else we can do together outside.I also enjoy cycling, running, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.
